Otoplasty

Cosmetic ear surgery, or otoplasty, is a very common and fairly simple operation that allows plastic surgeons to reshape prominent ears.

DR. FRANK LISTA: Otoplasty is a real common operation. We are doing a lot of Otoplasty. We do them in young adults and adults because they don’t like the way their ears stand out and it is a great operation because the scar is almost invisible. It is behind the ear in the grove behind the ear. It doesn’t make the ear smaller because those ears aren’t too big, they just stand out to far and we don’t have to remove any cartilage. We just reshape it. It is a pretty simple operation and it gives a really dramatic result.
