Description
Men with excess breast tissue, known as gynecomastia, may benefit from male breast reduction surgery. While the procedure once required an incision around the edge of the nipple, Dr. Lista has devised a technique that removes excess tissue without significant scarring. Having successfully treated hundreds of patients, he is now presenting this exciting new procedure worldwide.

DR. FRANK LISTA: Well this is probably the most rapidly growing area of plastic surgery is cosmetic surgery in men. One of the things that men are beginning to notice is excess breast tissue. They are embarrassed that they can’t take their shirts off or go to the beach or go to the pool and they live in fear that someone is going to see their chest. So the standard way of doing that operation is to make an incision around the edge of the nipple to remove the breast tissue. The problem with that is that it leaves a scar and in some patients the scar is an ugly scar. It is obvious and that little half moon around the nipple shows so the patient still can’t take their shirt off. That is why we have devised this technique where we remove the breast tissue through a little 4 mm stab wound on the outside portion of the chest and we can take out all of the breast tissue through that technique. We have done several hundred patients, written a paper on it and are presenting it around the world and it is really very exciting.
